To the joy of many boaters, a third marina, after ACI Marinas Korčula and Dubrovnik, is being constructed in Dubrovnik County. ACI Marina Slano is set to become the 22nd marina in ACI’s chain. Since this part of the Adriatic is extremely attractive to boaters and there is always demand for an extra berth in Dubrovnik and Korčula, there is no doubt that this newest marina, only 37 kilometres from Dubrovnik, will be completely full from day one.
ACI Marina Slano will have a surface area of 66.279 square metres and will be capable of accommodating 200 vessels between 11 and 25 metres in length. For this purpose piers and a breakwater will be constructed, totalling 688 metres in length and 2,460 square metres in surface area. In addition, a reception facility and business premises are projected, as well as a restaurant with a terrace and an outdoor pool. ACI will also allocate resources for a variety of facilities which boaters will be able to take advantage of during their stay in Slano, and will offer them yachting and maintenance services of the highest standard.
In line with its eco-friendly mission, ACI will pay special attention to integrating the marina harmoniously into the beautiful natural environment of this part of the Adriatic coast. The landscaping of the marina’s surroundings will include indigenous plants which boaters will be able to enjoy whilst strolling down a newly-built walking path. The necessary roads through the marina will also be built, as well as a car park.
Preliminary works have already started in Slano, as has the collection of necessary documents and permits, so that ACI’s 22nd marina can be ready for boaters as soon as possible.
