Port of Šilo is on the east side of the island of Krk and is open to public traffic. You enter the port from the north. At the head of 90m long breakwater that protects the harbor from the northern winds, stands a lighthouse (BL 3s 6m 3M). Strong bura in the port causes waves. The inner side of the breakwater in the port is intended for embarking and disembarking passengers, and most of the time it is empty. The boats can berth on the quay side. The depth of the sea is between 1.5 m up to 4 m at the head of the pier (the eastern part of the pier). The southern part of the port is designed for community berth. There is room for 48 boats up to 12 m. If in the harbor you can't find berth you can anchor east of the port at depths between 2 and 8m. The bottom is sandy and in parts covered with mud. The anchor holds well. Anchorage at the port is protected from northern and western winds. In the port there are available bins, parking, water and electricity, in the immediate vicinity there are numerous pubs, bars and shops. Berthing in the port has to be paid.
