Port of Split is one of the largest Croatian harbors and it is open to international traffic. It is protected from all winds except south. You can easily berth a boat except in those areas which are reserved for regular ferry lines. You have to enter the port from the south side, between the eastern breakwater on which is a green lighthouse (105 ° -72 ° W Bl 6s 11m 10M) and the western breakwater on which is a red lighthouse (319 ° -200 ° R Bl 6s 9m 5M). The depth of the sea in the port is between 3 and 10m. Along the coast the depth of the sea is over 2m. A small port in the north of the airport is booked by the boats of the locals and most of the time it's busy. In the port there is a gas station, a marina in the western part, banks, shops, restaurants.
