Pomena is a harbor on the northwest side of the island of Mljet. It is protected from all winds except the west. If you arrive from the east, you can sail through the strait between the island Pomestak and Mljet, where the depth is over 5m. Boats in the port can berth at the quay in front of Hotel Odysseus. There are 10 berths. In the eastern part of the port the boat can be moored at the piers in front of many taverns. Each offers 4-6 berths. Anchoring is possible on the south side of the island Pomestak. The depths are between 2 and 10m. The bottom is overgrown with grass, therefore, you should be cautious when anchoring. In the harbor there are many pubs, shops and bars. Port is in Mljet national park, so it is necessary to pay an entrance fee.
