Port of Novalja offers little chance for a good mooring. Some berths are located on the pier on the north side of the harbor. Berths are normally available to the locals, but during the season there are free moorings. The water depth is up to 2 meters. It is possible to berth smaller boats up to 12 meters. The southern part of the port is shallow and water depth doesn't exceed 1 meter. Berthing on the coast (on the east side of the port) is not recommended. Locals here have moored their boats, so the coast is dotted with ropes, which are likely to be complicated by the propellers. Port is protected from all winds except the north and west.
